TherVacB: UNA VACUNA TERAP\u00c8UTICA PER CURAR L\u2019HEPATITIS B<\/strong><\/h1>\n

La Comissi\u00f3 Europea i TherVacB uneixen forces<\/strong><\/h2>\n

El paper de l\u2019hepatitis viral com a amena\u00e7a per a la salut p\u00fablica s\u2019ha subestimat durant molt de temps. Fa molt poc, les Nacions Unides a la seva “Agenda 2030 per al Desenvolupament Sostenible” van demanar accions internacionals per combatre l’hepatitis viral i reduir la c\u00e0rrega de la malaltia. El principal assass\u00ed \u00e9s el virus de l’hepatitis B (VHB) que causa cirrosi hep\u00e0tica i c\u00e0ncer de fetge. A tot el m\u00f3n, m\u00e9s d’1 mili\u00f3 de persones moren cada any a causa de les conseq\u00fc\u00e8ncies d’una infecci\u00f3 per VHB.<\/p>\n

Hi ha disponible una vacuna profil\u00e0ctica per prevenir la infecci\u00f3 pel VHB, per\u00f2 m\u00e9s del 3% de la poblaci\u00f3 mundial (uns 254 milions d’humans) est\u00e0 infectada cr\u00f2nicament i ja no es beneficia d’aquesta vacuna. Per a aquells que pateixen hepatitis B cr\u00f2nica, fins avui no existeix cap opci\u00f3 de tractament curatiu.<\/p>\n

Per tant, la Comissi\u00f3 Europea va seleccionar el projecte TherVacB, liderat per Helmholtz Zentrum M\u00fcnchen, per a un finan\u00e7ament de set anys dins del programa Horitz\u00f3 2020.
Un consorci de vir\u00f2legs, immun\u00f2legs i metges l\u00edders especialitzats en el tractament de l’hepatitis viral utilitzar\u00e0 una vacuna terap\u00e8utica de disseny recent, TherVacB, com a immunoter\u00e0pia per curar el VHB. TherVacB s’avaluar\u00e0 en un assaig cl\u00ednic que comen\u00e7ar\u00e0 el juny de 2025 i es dur\u00e0 a terme a Europa i a l’\u00c0frica. La integraci\u00f3 d\u2019un lloc soci a Tanz\u00e0nia ajudar\u00e0 a construir capacitats locals per diagnosticar i tractar l\u2019hepatitis B i recolzar\u00e0 un objectiu important del consorci: sensibilitzar sobre l\u2019hepatitis B.<\/p>\n
