Informaci\u00f3 general<\/h2>\n

El Departament d\u2019Hepatologia de la Universitat de Leipzig (ULEI) representa una de les unitats d\u2019hepatologia m\u00e9s grans d\u2019Alemanya. Inclou diversos ambulatoris especialitzats amb presentaci\u00f3 anual de> 5.000 pacients, que cobreixen tot l\u2019espectre d\u2019hepatologia, oncologia hepatol\u00f2gica i trasplantament hep\u00e0tic, una gran oficina d\u2019estudi amb 5 infermeres a temps complet i un laboratori de recerca. S\u2019estan realitzant o s\u2019han realitzat assajos cl\u00ednics que van des de la fase I-IV amb especial atenci\u00f3 a l\u2019hepatitis B, l\u2019hepatitis C, el carcinoma hepatocel\u00b7lular, les malalties del fetge gras (NASH, NAFLD) i altres malalties hep\u00e0tiques.
El laboratori d\u2019investigaci\u00f3 del Departament d\u2019Hepatologia realitza nombrosos estudis cl\u00ednics, aix\u00ed com projectes cient\u00edfics b\u00e0sics i translacionals, inclosos els camps de l\u2019hepatitis viral, el carcinoma hepatocel\u00b7lular, el microbioma hum\u00e0 i la gen\u00f2mica en hepatologia. Des de la secci\u00f3 d\u2019hepatologia s\u2019han iniciat m\u00faltiples estudis de cohorts nacionals i internacionals. Cada any, publicacions d\u2019alt rang subratllen el fort impacte cient\u00edfic de la unitat.<\/p>\n

Role in TherVacB<\/h2>\n

ULEI has long term experience in conducting clinical trials (phase I-IV), appropriate facilities and a well-trained staff. The university is currently involved in several translational studies and has great experience with the collection of patient materials. This includes serum, tissue and circulating blood cell (PBMC) samples, which can be collected and stored according to highest quality requirements. A special focus lies on the development of bio markers for hepatitis B virus infections. The Department of Hepatology has gained significant international reputation in the field and will contribute experience and methodology to the consortium.<\/p>\n

ULEI has a large international network with collaborating hospitals and residents and can mobilize significant patient populations for inclusion in the clinical trials. Its experience is especially great in studies in hepatitis B, as well as in vaccine trials.<\/p>\n
