TherVacB – 一种治疗乙型肝炎的疫苗

长期以来，病毒性肝炎作为公共卫生威胁的作用一直被低估。 就在最近，联合国在其“2030 年可持续发展议程”中呼吁采取国际行动对抗病毒性肝炎并减轻疾病负担。 主要杀手是导致肝硬化和肝癌的乙型肝炎病毒（HBV）。 全世界每年有 100 多万人死于 HBV 感染。
目前有一种预防性疫苗可用于预防乙型肝炎病毒感染，但全球有超过 3% 的人口（约 2.54 亿人）长期受到感染，无法再从这种疫苗中获益。 对于那些患有慢性乙型肝炎的人，直到今天还没有治愈性的治疗选择。
因此，欧盟委员会选择了由慕尼黑亥姆霍兹中心领导的 TherVacB 项目，在地平线 2020 计划范围内提供为期七年的资助。
一个由顶尖病毒学家、免疫学家和专门治疗病毒性肝炎的医生组成的联盟将使用一种新设计的治疗性疫苗 TherVacB 作为免疫疗法来治疗 HBV。TherVacB 将于 2025 年 6 月开始在欧洲和非洲进行临床试验评估。 在坦桑尼亚整合一个合作伙伴站点将有助于建设当地诊断和治疗乙型肝炎的能力，并支持该联盟的一个重要目标——提高对乙型肝炎的认识。

Some #patients felt little stigma, others a lot. What made the difference? It was language, privacy needs, secrecy.

📘This is one of the 1st such studies in Western Europe. And led by social scientists @bettizimm and colleagues (#TUM) with #TherVacB clinical partners in Munich, Hannover & Leipzig. Stigma, they learned, is about how people perceive and protect their #identity.
